Safety, Health & Environment Officer

What You'll Do

• Implement and maintain company's Safety, Health & Environment programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits and risk assessments (HIRARC).
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate Safety & Health Committee meetings and action plans.
• Organize safety inductions, toolbox talks, drills, and awareness programs.
• Coordinate Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities.
• Maintain and improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Monitor environmental aspects, objectives, KPIs, and compliance.
• Manage scheduled waste, wastewater, emissions and environmental monitoring.
• Support internal and external ISO 14001 audits.
• Investigate environmental incidents and implement improvements.
• Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare HSE reports, documentation and management review materials.
• Liaise with government authorities on safety and environmental matters.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions, permit renewals and compliance reporting.

Ideal Candidates

• Experience in HSE, Occupational Safety & Health or Environmental Management.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System is a plus
• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
• Green Book (SHO) certification is preferred.
• CePSWaM certification will be an advantage.
• Familiar with Malaysian safety and environmental regulations.
• Able to conduct training, awareness programs and internal audits.
