About the job Head Accountant

Scope of Work : Prepare and review financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets, and provide economic and financial data for business decision making. Manage and train accounting staff, handle payroll and expenses, and maintain relationships with external auditors and vendors.


Financial Management

  • Manage complex pricing structures and maintains Sales CRM funnel for forecasting accuracy
  • Supervise and prepare final analysis in Account Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), accruals, fixed assets, and prepaid items.
  • Analyze, audit, and/or prepare monthly financial records, monthly payroll liability reconciliations, and account analysis.
  • Prepare all tax reports and evaluate any discrepancies with external Auditor/ CPA.
  • Prepare and present A/R, A/P, revenue and expenditure reports, as well, as tax-related documentation.
  • Supervise the Accounting Department for inter-departmental cash transfers, payroll, and check disbursements.
  • Maintain accounting records primarily using QuickBooks.
  • Assist in the development of controls and documentations for the accounting program.
  • Review and preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and financial reporting to management.
  • Expedite the calculation of inventory capitalization and reduce downtime by taking ownership of the function from field personnel.


Supervision and Coordination

  • Supervise submissions and receipts of weekly payments.
  • Assist the Head of Finance & Admin in financial requirements, reporting, and documentation.
  • Supervise control of expenses by reviewing and checking cash advances, liquidations, and reimbursements including payment request forms.
  • Coordinate and monitor all information necessary for the preparation of tax returns and other tax-related calculations and reporting.


Strategic Planning and Analysis

  • Partner with other department teams to develop and prioritize new plans, including budgets, forecasts, and ROI for financial investments.
  • Analyze cross-channel performance and identify opportunities to improve ROI, including conversion optimization, media optimization, and A/B testing.


Data Management and Transparency

  • Maintain the database to ensure accuracy and timely availability of information to provide transparency for OCEO (presumably the Office of the Chief Executive Officer).


General Responsibilities

  • Complete the assigned tasks from time to time.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.                                                                                                                       QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                                                                                         
  • Graduate of BS Accountancy and Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights into business performance and strategy.
  • Ability to develop communication strategies and manage client relationships for key accounts.
  • Ability to maintain a complete accounting system including detailed costing.
  • Ability to analyze, compare, and interpret facts and figures.
