Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Administrator to manage and optimize a large-scale, mission-critical Enterprise Data Lake (EDL). The successful candidate will be responsible for a production environment supporting over 900 CCUs and 2PB+ of data. This role requires a deep technical understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem and the ability to meet rigorous banking-grade SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Governance: Maintain the health and stability of Cloudera CDP v7.1.9, including HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, and Cloudbreak.
- Performance Engineering: Optimize cluster resource utilization, perform capacity forecasting, and tune YARN configurations for high-performance workload execution.
- Lifecycle Management: Plan and execute platform upgrades, security patching, and quarterly EOL/EOS assessments in accordance with strict change management protocols.
- Security & Compliance: Administer security configurations (Ranger/Atlas), manage user access control, and provide evidence for security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- High Availability & DR: Manage backup/restore procedures and lead annual Disaster Recovery (DR) drills to ensure zero data loss and business continuity.
- On-Call Support: Provide 9x5 operational support with mandatory 24x7 standby for High Business Impact Analysis (BIA) incidents.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Cloudera/Hadoop administration (CDH, HDP, or CDP).
- Certification: Valid Cloudera CDP Administrator or CDP Engineer certification is mandatory.
- Technical Breadth: Strong proficiency in Linux OS, Kerberos authentication, and automation scripting (Bash/Python).
- Location: Based in Malaysia; must be able to provide onsite support when required.
