Our current client is one of the leading global BPO companies with multiple offices across Europe. On their behalf, we are currently looking for Operational Accountant to join their Finance and Payroll team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Diligently record daily bookings for business transactions as per IFRS
  • Account for financial transactions, run month-end bank freezes and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare payments to suppliers and the state budget
  • Apply critical thinking to ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Payroll bookings and analysis
  • Actively participate in monthly closing procedures
  • Prepare reports and reconciliations including for management purposes, SOX audits, etc.
  • Participate in preparation of VAT declarations, audits and other mandatory monthly and annual reports
  • and documents under Bulgarian legislation
  • Participate and support the process of preparing the company's budget.
  • The role reports directly to the Chief Accountant

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience with ERP System would be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of the Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation
  • Advanced analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • English level B2
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
