Our current client is a global company operating in 58 countries worldwide and a leader in developing individual mobility solutions. The company helps people maintain or regain their freedom of movement. Headquartered in Duderstadt, Germany, it has large production facilities in Bulgaria and a Shared Services Center in Sofia.

On their behalf, we are looking for a Senior/Regular Finance Operations Specialist with German to join their expanding Sofia team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accounting and financial operations across different finance processes, including Record-to-Report (RTR) and Procure-to-Pay (PTP);
• Support daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures;
• Perform balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations and support the month-end closing process;
• Handle fixed asset accounting, payroll accounting, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and monthly revaluations;
• Support lease accounting activities in accordance with IFRS 16;
• Process and review supplier invoices, credit notes, and employee expenses, ensuring accurate tax coding;
• Monitor purchase order and invoice matching and resolve discrepancies between invoices and goods receipts;
• Handle inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and colleagues;
• Support VAT, Intrastat, and ECSL reporting activities;
• Act as a point of contact for finance-related inquiries and provide timely and professional assistance;
• Ensure accurate financial data and documentation in company systems;
• Collaborate with local finance teams, controlling, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations;
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the optimization of existing workflows;
• Participate in transition activities, process improvement initiatives, and audit support;
• Support and train less experienced colleagues and new team members;
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and established procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or a relevant finance process (RTR and/or PTP);
• Good understanding of accounting principles and standards, including IFRS;
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP;
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel;
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Customer-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders;
• Proactive approach and willingness to contribute to continuous process improvement;
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively;
• Fluent English, both written and spoken;
• Very good command of German is a must;
• ACCA/CIMA qualifications would be considered an advantage.
