Role description:
- Develop hardware and conduct software testing for automotive infotainment computer systems and platforms.
- Design, test, and verify analog and digital functional blocks within complex hardware architectures considering quality, cost, and series suitability.
- Test and analyze application and driver software to ensure functionality with dedicated hardware.
- Assist in the design, creation, and implementation of software and hardware for infotainment systems.
- Create measurement reports and technical documentation.
- Perform schematic entry and variant management.
- Evaluate requirements and feasibility, aiding in system design and hardware realization.
- Assist in the technical specifications and supplier evaluation for telematics and connectivity components.
- Assess software feature fulfillment in dedicated hardware blocks.
- Utilize command shell programming for hardware control under the Harman operating system.
- Engage in global collaboration with various departments throughout the development process.
- Provide maintenance support and technical assistance for industrialization of function items.
- Execute technical measurements on customer sites.
- Conduct schematic integration and design verification for projects of varying complexity.
- Redesign existing functional blocks based on change requests.
- Support the RFI/RFQ phase for new projects and assist with BIOS activities.
- Participate in schematic and layout reviews.
Required Skills
- Experience with ALM Siemens Teamcenter
- Knowledge of schematic design with XPedition Mentor Graphics
- Extensive experience with Power Integrity
- Experience with Ansys
- Proficient in ticketing systems (Jira) and strong Excel skills
- Basic knowledge in command shell programming and shell debugging
- Familiarity with commonly used interfaces in infotainment systems (PCIe, UART, TDM, I2C, I2S, USB)
- Experience in technical documentation creation and measurement reporting
- Knowledge of Linux, Matlab, SAP, and Facton is a plus
- Familiarity with Spice for circuit simulations is a plus
- Proficiency in English is required
