Role description:

As a Lead Windows Engineer you have System Engineer responsabilities and also Team Lead responsabilities, that relate to the delivery of quality IT services on time.

System Engineer responsabilities:

  • Perform system administration activities such as:
  • Deployments, configuration and troubleshooting of OS;
  • MS Office Suite installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • System / Network monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with helpdesk functions as needed, such as responding to tickets, providing desktop support in a mostly windows environment and providing support in creating emails accounts and user password resets etc;
  • Solve primary problems with existent network, WIFI and IP phone systems for clients (internal/external);
  • On-site support at clients headquarter (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).

Team Lead responsabilities:

People and management related responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the output and deliverables of your team;
  • Ensure your team members have clearly defined tasks; work with Project Manager / Account Manager / Delivery Manager to bring clarity into tasks / tickets allocated to you and your team.
  • Support, coach and supervise team members so that they can deliver their tasks with proper quality and on time;
  • Influence colleagues to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work;
  • Monitor your team members performance; devise and deliver actions to improve your teams peformance;
  • Evaluate team members in the performance management process;
  • Evaluate and decide upon staffing needs, recruit staff with appropriate skills for the business activities;
  • Escalate leadership, management or process issues to HR, Delivery Manager or other relevant stakeholders;

Technical related responsabilities:

  • Decide upon all technical related matters that your team encounters and cannot decide/resolve by themselves;
  • Provide technical coaching to individual team members; exert technical influence over the team, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your knowledge and experience; support them in technical growth and personal development;
  • Clarify, prioritize and negociate client requests and deliverables;
  • Collaborate with all involved parties, including other Team Leads / Delivery Manager and other team
  • Perform deep dives into IT problems, finding true root causes and devising solutions;

Project related responsabilities:

  • Define, provide input & feedback on project planning to relevant stakeholders;
  • Manage high-level client expectations and relationships.
  • Keep constant communication with the client regarding, changes, delays, opportunities & priorities;

Profile :

Tech skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on system administration experience is required;
  • Experience in Windows/Mac systems administration (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting);
  • Experience in managing Microsoft Office Suite (installation, configuration, troubleshooting);
  • Familiarity in configuring emails (EXCHANGE, Office365, POP3, IMAP, SMTP)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Fileserver and networking;
  • Knowledge in IT hardware administration (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting);
  • Microsoft Certifications;
  • Microsoft Azure Certification;
  • Cloud Certification.
