Role description:

Our client is a German company that specializes in the development and manufacture of innovative aluminium crane systems and lifting solutions, catering to various industries. A second business line is related to manufacturing of media and energy columns. With a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, the organization seeks a Technical Sales Manager to open the Romanian market.

This position offers a unique opportunity to build a brand from the ground up in Romania, engage with new clients nationwide, deliver tailored solutions and technical support, and foster lasting relationships in a dynamic, fast-evolving market.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse customer requirements and develop tailored solutions for aluminium crane systems and energy columns.
  • Prepare technical offers and quotations for light crane systems, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers through effective communication and support.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Negotiate contracts and prepare documents to facilitate successful sales agreements.
  • Travel within Romania to meet clients (approximately 3 days per week).
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Coordinate with the internal team in Hungary to process inquiries and manage customer accounts effectively.

Required Skills

  • Completed technical or commercial studies or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in B2B sales, particularly in project sales in the technical field (e.g. plant engineering)
  • Solid knowledge of industries related to machinery, intralogistics and handling
  • Strong understanding of customer requirements and ability to develop tailored solutions
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficient in CRM and ERP systems as well as MS Office
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Romania (up to 3 days a week)
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Stability in employment history without frequent job changes
