Job Summary
- USALCO is seeking a self-directed Outbound Growth Representative to independently identify, pursue, and convert prospects into qualified opportunities for our Water Treatment Specialists and commercial sales team.
- This individual owns their pipeline from the ground up — building target account lists, executing outbound sequences, and generating meetings without reliance on inbound lead support. Outreach spans two complementary offerings: USALCO's coagulant chemistries, including DelPAC and polyDADMAC, and the Decision Blue® software platform.
- This is a hunter role requiring a proven ability to create opportunities from cold, strong outbound sales discipline, and the drive to work independently while collaborating closely with Water Treatment Specialists and marketing to build consistent, self-sourced pipeline.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Ownership
- Independently identify, prioritize, and build target account lists within an assigned territory.
- Execute high-volume, high-quality outbound prospecting via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn with no reliance on inbound leads.
- Build and run self-directed multi-touch cadences in Salesloft.
- Research and enrich target accounts using ZoomInfo.
- Qualify prospects against defined criteria and book qualified discovery meetings.
Market & Account Research
- Proactively identify regulatory and operational pressures that create urgency for water treatment solutions.
- Translate independent account research into tailored outreach and talk tracks.
- Support conference and event preparation to drive booth traffic and prospect engagement.
Activity & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of activity and contacts in Salesforce.
- Report on self-sourced activity volume and qualified meetings booked.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity and qualified-meeting targets.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Water Treatment Specialists to refine target account tiers and messaging.
- Work with marketing to sharpen ideal customer profile and outbound campaigns.
- Hand off qualified meetings cleanly to Water Treatment Specialists.
Success Metrics
- Self-sourced outbound activity volume and quality conversations per day.
- Qualified meetings booked from cold outreach.
- Meeting-to-opportunity conversion rate.
- Conference outreach, booth traffic driven, and opportunities created at events.
- CRM hygiene and data accuracy.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline independently through cold outreach — with some inbound lead support from webinars, conferences, etc!
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort with moderate to high volume phone-based and email outreach.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and accountable — takes full ownership of their efforts and outcomes.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AI platforms such as ChatGPT or Claude to support and automate sales workflows.
Preferred Qualifications (Senior/Lead Level)
- 2+ years of SDR/BDR or inside sales experience in a pure outbound environment with a proven record of quota attainment, preferably in industrial, chemical, environmental, technical/scientific, or public-sector sales.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior reps, including onboarding, call reviews, and playbook development.
- Comfort navigating longer, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and public-procurement processes (RFP/bid).
- Familiarity with water treatment, environmental regulation, or municipal/utility selling.
- Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, and ZoomInfo.
Travel
- Up to 25% travel, including occasional visits to customer sites, trade shows, and conferences.
