Application Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an Application Engineer to support and enhance business-critical applications. The role covers application development, system configuration, and production support to ensure stable and reliable system operations.

Key Responsibilities:

System Operations & Application Support

· Monitor application performance and system jobs to ensure service availability

· Investigate and resolve user queries and system incidents

· Perform structured troubleshooting across applications, databases, and interfaces

· Communicate issue impact and resolution status clearly to stakeholders

Application Development

· Design, develop, and maintain applications and components

· Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects

· Implement functional enhancements and technical improvements

· Support cross system integration development

System Configuration & Change Management

· Configure and maintain system parameters, workflows, and user access controls

· Support deployment activities and post-release verification

· Ensure changes follow established change management processes

· Maintain technical documentation for configurations and updates

Required Qualifications

· Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field from a local university in Singapore, or equivalent qualification

· 2–3 years of experience in application development and support

· Proficiency in SQL and .NET Core/.NET 6+ (C#)

· Understanding of application architecture and system flows

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and proactively

· Strong ownership, quick learner, attention to detail, and professional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with enterprise-scale systems is preferred, particularly in financial, accounting, or risk management domains
