Responsibilities & Requirements (Required Skills):

1. Technical & Platform Expertise

  • Deep mastery of Workday integration technologies to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.
  • Proven capability across Workday Integration tools (Studio, EIB, PECI, WECI, RaaS).
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, data flows, and downstream dependencies.
  • 6+ years of experience in Workday integrations, including at least 2 full-cycle deployments
  • Certified in Workday Integration Core or Workday Studio
  • Familiarity with Workday security fundamentals is an advantage.

2. Advanced Studio Development

  • Ability to independently design, build, and debug complex Workday Studio integrations.
  • Delivers production-grade Studio solutions with robust logging, error handling, and XSLT.
  • Applies reusable components and best practices to reduce technical debt.

3. Functional & Domain Awareness

  • Understands HCM business processes to align integration logic with policy and operations.
  • Maps data accurately across Core HCM/Finance and external systems.
  • Anticipates functional impacts and edge cases in cross-agency scenarios.

4. Integration Governance & Security

  • Builds integrations that are secure, compliant, and scalable across the enterprise.
  • Applies Workday security rules, encryption, naming/versioning standards.
  • Designs for auditability, resilience, and long-term operability.

5. Reporting, Monitoring & Access Control

  • Enables integrations through the right reporting and security configurations.
  • Configures RaaS and outbound EIBs with controlled access via domain/report security.
  • Uses logs, alerts, and traceability tools for proactive issue resolution.

6. Problem Solving & Reliability Engineering

  • Rapidly diagnoses issues and strengthens integration robustness.
  • Troubleshoots incidents efficiently and implements reusable fixes.
  • Improves stability through better observability and design patterns.
  • Hands-on with EIB, PECI, WECI, Workday Studio, custom reports, security

7. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Bridges technical and functional teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
  • Clearly explains integration designs and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Walks teams through architecture, risks, and dependencies.

8. Mentoring & Capability Building

  • Strengthens organizational capability beyond individual delivery.
  • Team leading experience
  • Reviews code, promotes standards, and shares reusable assets.
  • Coaches junior developers and testers to uplift overall maturity.
