About the job PeopleSoft Administrator
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, administer, upgrade, and maintain PeopleSoft components, including Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Tuxedo, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), and middleware running on Windows infrastructure.
- Perform PeopleSoft bundle patching, maintenance updates, and PeopleTools upgrades.
- Monitor the PeopleSoft environment for system performance, resource utilization, availability, and overall system health, including proactive performance tuning.
- Provide application and technical support, bug fixes, and remediation for vulnerabilities and security issues affecting existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the PeopleSoft environment, including network, software, hardware, operating system, middleware, and connectivity.
- Develop, implement, and support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for PeopleSoft databases and applications.
- Maintain and keep up to date all technical documentation related to the PeopleSoft environment, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Work closely with application developers, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to understand and support business and technical requirements.
- Develop and implement scripts and automation for routine administration, maintenance, monitoring, and reporting activities.
- Perform user administration, security configuration, role management, and access control within the PeopleSoft environment.
- Personnel deployed shall possess strong PeopleSoft administration skills and hands-on experience in administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, patching, and upgrading PeopleTools and related middleware components.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- A Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent relevant certification.
- At least five (5) years of hands-on experience in PeopleSoft administration.
- Completion of at least one (1) PeopleTools upgrade within the last two (2) years.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous and well-organized approach to work.
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration and Microsoft Azure Cloud would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Windows operating systems would be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge and experience in PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in administering and configuring Pathlock.
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
