Backend Developer

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Software Engineer to support the design, development, and delivery of digital solutions in an agile environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a technical lead and a team of engineers to build, enhance, and maintain enterprise platforms and applications.

You will be responsible for contributing to agile development activities, participating in sprint planning, implementation, testing, and deployment of solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platforms operate optimally in terms of availability, performance, capacity, security, and business continuity. The role also involves supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements aligned with established technology standards and policies.

You will assist in planning and managing project and operational tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant technology frameworks and best practices. Part of the role includes reviewing existing systems and recommending industry best practices for IT platforms and infrastructure to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the technical lead in agile development and solution delivery

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications and platform components

• Ensure systems meet requirements for availability, security, and performance

• Assist in project planning, implementation, and operational support

• Troubleshoot application, system, and basic infrastructure issues

• Apply and recommend industry best practices for IT systems and platforms

• Document processes, configurations, and technical knowledge

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript development

• Experience with Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, or modern JavaScript frameworks

• Experience working with Service Management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow or equivalent)

• Understanding of full-stack development concepts

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular)

• Experience or exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EKS, serverless)

• Ability to understand and troubleshoot basic network and system issues

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting

• Knowledge of ITIL or IT service management practices

• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills

• Ability to manage tasks independently and follow through on deliverables

• Experience working in structured, policy-driven environments
