Role Overview-
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive business growth across the SEA and Asian markets, with a strong focus on high-risk industries, especially payments, PSPs, and merchant acquiring.

This role combines business development, merchant sales, and contribution to product & infrastructure development. The ideal candidate is hands-on, commercially driven, and deeply familiar with end-to-end third-party provider management as well as launching proprietary payment solutions.
Senior BDs are also expected to bring and close merchant opportunities, not only manage providers.

Main Requirements (Must-have)

  • Asian candidate, preferably Chinese-speaking Asian
  • Fluent Chinese and English (Chinese must be fluent for Senior level)
  • Strong experience in Asian high-risk markets
  • Payments industry background is a strong priority
  • PSPs, gateways, acquiring, crypto/FX/high-risk processing
  • Proven end-to-end management of third-party payment providers
  • Experience in launching and managing own / proprietary payment solutions

Strong merchant network, with ability to:

  • Bring own merchants
  • Participate directly in merchant sales cases
  • Demonstrated experience with:
  • Successful provider launches
  • Failed cases and lessons learned (this is valued)
  • Key Evaluation Criteria-
  • Depth and quality of provider portfolio
  • Track record of own solution launches (success & failure cases)
  • Strength of merchant connections
  • Ability to operate independently and close deals end-to-end

Responsibilities-

  • Build new and expand existing SEA payment partnerships, managing end-to-end commercial, contractual, and technical negotiations
  • Define and execute business development strategies, identifying opportunities, risks, and roadblocks from prospecting through deal closure
  • Drive sales of mainstream and non-mainstream products, including but not limited to:Payment gateway solutions
  • Consultancy servicesValue-added products
  • Develop business cases and financial models in collaboration with Relationship Managers, Sales, Product Owners, and Management

Build strong internal alignment with:

  • Product
  • Engineering
  • Finance
  • Legal
  • Compliance
  • Sales and Key Account Management

Continuously expand cooperation scope with partners to create new value-added services and features

Support broader company initiatives such as:

  • New market entry
  • Provider acquisitions
  • Own payment solution development
  • Regional infrastructure expansion
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Compensation & Benefits (Senior BD)
  • Base Salary: up to 6,500 USDT / month
  • Quarterly OKR Bonus: up to 150% of monthly salary

BD Provider Commission (details below)-

Yearly Bonus: 

  • based on annual performance and management decision
  • Payment Currency: USDTVacation: 25 days/year
  • Probation Period: 3 monthsMerchant Sales Commission (1-year lifetime)-
  • New merchants (no prior processing history): 10%
  • Upsell to existing merchants: 8%
  • Commission split with KAMs or other sales participants based on involvement

  • Processing fees
  • Settlement fees
  • Marked-up FX margins (if contractually defined)Any margin not specified in the merchant agreement is not commissionable

Commission lifetime: 

  • 1 year from merchant go-live / relaunch
  • BD Provider Commission Structure-Monthly commission based on revenue generated by legitimate providers
  • Commission split by role:Contact – Introduced the provider
  • Engagement – Negotiated, onboarded, integrated, launched, and managed relationship
  • Operations – Handles day-to-day provider operations

Commission eligibility:

  • Provider is live and generating revenue 50,000 USD total revenue generated
  • Live < 2 years (Contact & Engagement), < 4 years (Operations)
  • No outstanding debts, freezes, or financial losses
  • OKRs-
  • Set quarterly after probation
  • Bonus calculation:100% OKR completion = 1 month salary
  • Max bonus = 150% of monthly salaryCalculated in Q+1, paid in Q+2
