Appliance Technician

Overview:

We seek a skilled Refrigeration and Appliance Technician to join our team at a bustling department store. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining refrigeration units and various household appliances. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all equipment functions efficiently to provide a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

· Inspect, diagnose, and repair refrigeration units, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and display cases.

· Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems to maintain a comfortable shopping environment.

· Repair household appliances, such as washers, dryers, ovens, and refrigerators.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards.

· Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.

· Communicate effectively with store management and other departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance tasks.

· Follow all safety protocols per guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

· Hold a Valid Belize refrigeration license, a wireman license, or both.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

· Proven experience as a refrigeration technician or appliance repair technician

· Certification or training in refrigeration and HVAC systems

· Strong mechanical and electrical skills

· Excellent problem-solving abilities

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Good communication and customer service skills

· Attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions.

Previous experience in all major Appliances, Refrigerators, Stoves, Washers, Dryers, and any major Appliances. AC would be a plus
