The Opportunity


This is an exciting opportunity to join them at a time of significant innovation and growth within their Criminal Law offering. As part of the team, you'll work closely with the Head of Criminal Law to shape and develop the tools, content, and workflows that support thousands of Criminal Lawyers in their day-to-day practice.

You'll play a key part in translating your legal expertise into practical, technology-driven solutions, helping to build best-in-class precedents, guidance, and processes within the platform. Your work will directly influence how Criminal Law is practised, improving efficiency, consistency, and client outcomes.

What you'll do


Support the Head of Criminal Law in developing and expanding the Criminal Law practice offerings
Contribute to the design and refinement of legal content, workflows, and precedents within the platform
Review and produce prompt drafts to ensure legal accuracy and to assist with the creation of the prompt library
Help review draft and refine the precedents within the Criminal Law area, to ensure they best suit customer needs
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and innovation within Criminal Law workflows
Stay up to date with developments in Criminal Law and ensure content reflects current legislation and practice

What you'll bring

Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 5 years PQE in Criminal Law (ideally Associate or Senior Associate level)
Strong technical expertise across a broad range of Criminal law matters. A strong background in General Crime is essential, ideally across both Legal Aid and Privately funded matters. Previous Police Station Accreditation is a strong advantage - though there will be no 'on call' requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Excellent drafting and analytical skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently
An ability to work collaboratively with the prompt engineer to create targeted prompts and analyse the output
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both legal and non-legal teams
Enthusiasm for legal technology and improving how legal services are delivered                                                                                                                         A willingness to develop and/or maintain a network of Criminal Lawyer contacts, and attend business development functions as may be required


Desirable:

Experience developing precedents, templates, or legal know-how resources
Exposure to legal tech, document automation, or case management systems
Interest or experience in innovation, process improvement, or legal operations
Experience in Financial Crime, Private Prosecutions and Professional Discipline/Regulatory work is highly desirable
Previous involvement in training, mentoring, or knowledge sharing within a team
