HIU Engineer - Subcontract

Job Title: HIU Service & Installation Engineer
Location: London (various sites)
Contract Type: Subcontract – Long Term
Start Date: As early as Monday next week

Overview

An established contractor is seeking experienced HIU Engineers to join their growing London operation on a long-term subcontract basis. This is a high-volume role carrying out HIU maintenance and installation works across residential sites.

There is also an opportunity for one engineer to step into a supervisory/lead role overseeing other engineers for an enhanced daily earning.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out HIU servicing, fault finding and maintenance

• Complete HIU installations where required

• Attend 8 to 10 scheduled appointments per day

• Diagnose faults efficiently and complete works to a high standard

• Liaise with office team and handle phone communication as required

• Ensure accurate job reporting and documentation

Supervisory Opportunity (1 Position)

• Oversee and support other engineers on the contract

• Act as first point of contact for operational queries

• Support performance and job allocation

• Additional earning potential of approximately £100 per day

Package & Earnings

• £35 per standard appointment

• Typical earnings between £250 to £350 per day based on volume

• Additional £100 per day for supervisory engineer

• Long-term, consistent workload

Requirements

• Proven experience working on HIUs service and/or install

• Own van preferred, however foot-mobile engineers will be considered

• Own tools required, with support available where needed

• Willingness to travel across London

• Good communication skills and comfortable taking calls

• Reliable, organised and able to manage a busy schedule
