Our portfolio includes media outlets (Atlantico.fr, Global South World, WorldVisualized, Qonversations) and specialized firms in programmatic advertising, political campaigns, and digital marketing.

We are scaling our media presence and seeking a Head of Sales to lead commercial growth and revenue generation.

About You

You are a revenue-focused business leader with 10+ years in media or media-adjacent sales, in France. You thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution: equally comfortable negotiating with C-level executives, designing revenue strategies, and rolling up your sleeves to close key deals. You are passionate about media, well-connected with French corporates and agencies, and fluent in the language of advertising, branded content, and subscriptions.

This is a full-time, fully remote role, but ideally you are based in Paris or the metropolitan area, and the contract offered will most likely be a contractor agreement.

Top 5 Objectives (first 12 months)

  1. Develop and Implement Monetization Strategies: Create a roadmap for advertising, branded content, subscriptions, events, and new revenue streams.

  2. Drive Revenue Growth: Deliver consistent YoY revenue increases; target break-even/profitability in 23 years.

  3. Optimize Advertising Partnerships: Build and manage agency/brand relationships, while leveraging programmatic and native platforms.

  4. Build Subscription & Recurring Revenue: Explore and launch paid models (premium content tiers, memberships, partnerships).

  5. Lead & Scale Commercial Operations: Build, mentor, and manage a sales/commercial team aligned with Atlanticos editorial vision.

Other Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close advertising and branded content deals with corporates and agencies.

  • Oversee programmatic partnerships and optimize yield.

  • Launch and manage subscription offerings.

  • Negotiate contracts with external partners (advertisers, agencies, sponsors).

  • Build compelling presentations and proposals that align with Atlanticos editorial philosophy.

  • Provide reporting and analytics on revenue performance.

  • Collaborate with editorial, product, and Impactum Group entities to ensure seamless monetization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in media sales or adjacent roles.

  • Proven track record of revenue growth and meeting sales targets.

  • Deep understanding of digital media monetization models (ads, branded content, subscriptions).

  • Strong commercial network among decision-makers in France.

  • Hands-on, creative, and strategic in sales approaches

  • Excellent with numbers, data, and performance tracking

  • Skilled in negotiations, and team leadership.

  • Native French speaker; strong English an advantage.

  • Based in Paris (or France) with ability to travel
