JOB SUMMARY:

The Positioning Surveyor is responsible in performing technical roles defined by the Offshore Project Manager prior and during the geotechnical site investigation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Every employee shall be held accountable and responsible for adhering to Policies and Procedures relating to quality, health, safety and the environment. All personnel should not only adhere to the policies and procedures but should actively promote their contents to continually improve QHSE both offshore and onshore.

The duties assigned to Positioning Surveyor will be varied; these will include but not be limited to thefollowing:

  • QA of geophysical data contained within eh Project Execution Plan
  • Ensuring all procedures for positioning are up to date and correct for the appropriate spread
  • All equipment is calibrated in line with the manufacturers and clients requirements
  • Following all HSE related documentation prior, during and after completion of operations
  • Completing all offshore calibrations, USBL, rig transits
  • Ensuring sign-off of all positioning documents with the Offshore Project Manager and client
  • Production of a survey mobilisation plan
  • Demobilisation of any equipment that is out of date or needs recalibration on completion of a scope of work
  • Responsible for the quality of service to internal and external clients including interested parties.

LIAISON

The Positioning Surveyor will liaise directly with the Offshore Project Manager and Geotechnical Engineer on shift.
