Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly on construction sites.
Posting Status: Open, 1 position
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $29.73 per hour (+ benefits as per the collective agreement)
Schedule: Swing Shift
- Days (Monday to Friday) 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Afternoons (Monday to Thursday) 3:20pm to 1:50am
Closing Date: September 15, 2025 or until the position is filled
Location: On-Site Woodstock
Responsibilities
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shift pre start up check and safety checks are done on all lift devices
- Shift pre start up check and safety checks on weld equipment
- Check that assembly area is staged for production
- Problem solve should issues arise during production.
- Maintain the weld cell for 5S to ensure a safe work space
- Follow all pertinent Quality system procedures (inspections etc)
- Follow all pertinent Shop Edge system procedures and transactions.
- All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- MIG & TIG welding
- Fabrication
- Follow all safety and health procedures to avoid accidents.
- Operating of various hand tools.
- Analyzing blueprints and designs.
- Time management.
Initial Qualifications for Hire:
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- Welder certification is an asset
- Ability to operate forklift/tow motor safely and independently
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Mechanically inclined and good problem solving/communication skills
