We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Writer with experience in the Australian mortgage industry. The successful candidate will manage loan applications from initial data entry through to submission, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the process. This role also requires confident communication with Australian clients to guide them through the loan application process while maintaining a professional and friendly approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and input home loan applications into aggregator software (e.g., ApplyOnline) accurately and efficiently
- Review client information and documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with lending requirements
- Communicate with Australian clients via phone and email to introduce the loan process, discuss applications, and request required documents
- Utilize knowledge of Australian lenders and mortgage products to ensure client scenarios align with lender policies before submission
- Manage and monitor a pipeline of loan applications to ensure timely follow-ups and smooth progression toward approval
- Ensure all documentation and application details meet compliance standards, including Australian consumer mortgage laws (NCCP Act)
- Assist in explaining loan options and benefits to clients to help them understand the recommended solutions
- Verify accuracy of all supporting documents and application data before submission to lenders
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a loan writer, loan processor, or mortgage paraplanner in the Australian mortgage industry
- Strong working knowledge of Australian mortgage lenders, products, and lending policies
- Experience using Australian mortgage aggregator software for loan input (e.g., ApplyOnline)
- Understanding of Australian consumer mortgage compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, error-free work
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously
- Clear, confident, and professional communication skills, especially when speaking with clients over the phone
- Positive, professional, and client-focused attitude when interacting with borrowers and team members
