About the role:

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of businesses across various industries, delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is confident with cloud-based accounting tools, and thrives in a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Your Role:

  • Manage a portfolio of Australian clients, delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping services.
  • Maintain and reconcile financial records, process payroll, and prepare GST/BAS reports as required.
  • Spot opportunities for process improvement and implement efficient solutions.
  • Use and maintain bookkeeping applications (Xero, XPM, Dext, etc.) for optimal workflow.
  • Ensure deadlines for lodgements and reporting are met.
  • Provide excellent client service and maintain strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with the clients Australian team to meet business goals.
  • Perform other bookkeeping or administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years bookkeeping experience (preferably with Australian or international clients).
  • Proficient in Xero (required), with experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data management).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in payroll processing and knowledge of GST and bookkeeping rules for Australian businesses is an advantage.
  • Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent training preferred but not required.
  • Experience with XPM and other cloud-based accounting tools (e.g., Dext) is a plus.
