About the Role
We are seeking a Collections Administrator to provide dedicated support to our Collections team. This role will work closely with the Pre-Legal Officer to manage post-settlement activities, streamline processes, and ensure compliance with Australian collections policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Action Proof of Debt requests.
- Manage Letters of Demand and related follow-ups.
- Oversee security removals for performing and collections loans.
- Monitor and manage the team mailbox (legal inbox), ensuring items are actioned, resolved, or appropriately escalated.
- Coordinate with the Collections team for validation before escalation.
- Assign tasks to the Pre-Legal Officer as needed, while preventing duplication of work.
- Support continuous improvement of collections processes.
- Ensure all activities align with Australian Collections Policies and Regulations, under the oversight of:
- Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)
- Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)
- Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA)
- National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP Act)
What Were Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Prior experience in collections administration, legal support, or post-settlement processing preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication skills for internal coordination.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
