VEA Telecoms is on the rise, and we're looking for a Civils Manager to join our dynamic team at our busy Coleshill depot. As a fast-growing business in the telecommunications sector, we offer exciting opportunities for career progression to the right candidate.
About the Role:
As a Civils Manager, you'll be instrumental in managing the construction and maintenance of telecom-related civil infrastructure. You'll oversee all aspects of civils works including ducting, trenching, reinstatement, and cable laying while ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and in line with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage civil engineering projects.

Oversee all civils-related commercial aspects such as pricing, purchasing, and sales.

Allocate resources and coordinate workloads to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Manage civil crews and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as required.

Collaborate with internal teams, including regional managers, engineers, and field technicians, to ensure successful project execution.

Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Maintain and promote strict compliance with all health and safety legislation.

Keep accurate records, documentation, and reporting for all projects.

Support team development by mentoring, training, and providing performance feedback.
What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a Civils Manager role or similar position within the telecoms sector.

Strong working knowledge of civil construction techniques and telecom infrastructure requirements.

Solid leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.

A strong understanding of health and safety standards, with a proactive approach to risk management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong decision-making skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in project management tools and documentation software.

A full UK driving license is essential.

NRSWA Supervisor accreditation is required.
