Web Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable Web Developer to support our team on a consultancy basis. This role requires someone with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites, ensuring a high standard of design, functionality, and performance.

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain responsive WordPress websites using custom themes and popular page builders
• Convert detailed wireframes and layouts into functional web pages/posts
• Apply and manage CSS changes to maintain consistent styling across platforms and browsers
• Collaborate with developers and designers to implement new website features and enhancements
• Debug and troubleshoot issues using tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug
• Manage plugin integrations, theme customizations, and performance optimizations
• Create clean, well-documented code aligned with project goals and branding guidelines
• Conduct QA and testing for front-end and back-end functionality

Minimum Qualifications:

• This role is offered on a consultancy basis with a minimum 6-month contract, subject to renewal based on performance and business needs.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong working experience with WordPress, including plugins, themes, and customizations
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP back-end development
• Experience working with debugging tools (e.g., Chrome Inspector, Firebug)
• Skilled in responsive web design principles and implementation
• Hands-on experience with the Divi Theme is a plus
• Experience using Canva is an advantage
• Knowledge of website architecture, SEO principles, and user experience best practices
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be okay with consultancy basis (6 months initial contract, subject for renewal)
