Software Engineer

Velia Multiservices is partnering with a high-growth, VC-backed startup (Series A–Series C) to identify a driven Software Engineer ready to make a tangible impact in an early-stage environment. This is an opportunity to work directly with founders, take ownership of critical systems, and help scale a platform that powers real-world operations across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and delivery of core systems across the marketplace and transaction stack
• Build and maintain scalable frontend and backend solutions, with a strong focus on user experience
• Design and implement APIs, services, and data models to support high-volume asset movement
• Automate complex workflows across payments, logistics, compliance, and financing
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and operations teams to deliver features quickly and reliably
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve system performance and scalability

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or frontend-leaning Full Stack Engineer
• Proven experience working in early-stage, fast-paced startup environments (Series A–Series C, VC-backed preferred)
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern web development frameworks
• Experience working with relational databases, particularly Postgres
• Solid understanding of API design, system architecture, and scalable application development
• Ability to take ownership, operate with urgency, and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, builder mindset

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (C.S.) from a U.S.-accredited institution
