Strengthen procurement and enable growth

As Strategic Buyer at GEA, you will report to Senior Director Procurement & Supply Chain and take full ownership of the Electrical category. Acting as a key interface between category management and the business, you will contribute to strengthening procurement as a value-creating function and support GEA's growth ambitions, while playing an active role in the ongoing transformation of the Procurement function. You will ensure effective implementation of global electrical category strategies locally, align sourcing activities with business requirements, and provide feedback to support cost reduction and performance improvements. A key part of the role is leading supplier negotiations, including contracts and price agreements, while ensuring compliance with GEA's standards and policies. You will drive supplier development with a focus on innovation and sustainability, act as the main point of contact for suppliers, and manage commercial and performance-related matters. In close collaboration with sales and project teams, you will support procurement activities during both pre-sales and execution phases, ensuring commercial alignment and competitiveness throughout the project lifecycle.

Strategic procurement professional with strong commercial acumen

We expect you to hold a relevant educational degree and bring solid experience from a similar role within procurement in a complex environment. You have demonstrated experience in category management, sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation, and you are confident leading negotiations and managing commercial agreements. You have experience conducting regular performance reviews with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and long-term value creation, and you possess strong analytical capabilities enabling you to translate data into actionable insights that strengthen competitiveness and support sound decision-making. You communicate confidently and effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners, and you are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

On a personal level, you are a skilled negotiator and pragmatic problem-solver who understands how strategy translates into operational execution. You are motivated by driving procurement value and shaping improved ways of working, while finding balanced, win-win solutions for both GEA and its suppliers.
