Support and drive strategic initiatives within the commercial function

As Senior Manager, Commercial Operations, you will report directly to the Head of Commercial Operations & Excellence, Christian Amberg. The Commercial Operations and Excellence function is an essential area in the growth and effectiveness of the organization, driving new product launches, geographical expansion, commercial excellence, as well as business planning. In this critical role you will be responsible for delivering accurate forecasting, performance analytics, business planning, and operational support to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), broader commercial leadership team, as well as the global affiliates. This is, therefore, a highly dynamic and collaborative role, with important interfaces with the rest of the organization.

Your areas of responsibility will be focused on the following areas:

Performance analysis and reporting

  • Build regular financial performance reports and variance analyses from the sales affiliates and partners, and synthesize them into key insights and takeaways, with a strong bias to action and so-what.
  • Drive a high degree of proactive, end-to-end ownership in ensuring consistency and correctness in both received inputs and developed outputs.
  • Play a key role in streamlining and optimization of relevant processes, wherever feasible, ensuring focus on value-adding tasks and quick path to relevant insights for the teams.

Forecasting

  • Support the development of mid- and long-term forecasts for pharmaceutical products, in close collaboration with affiliates, Commercial leadership team, as well as Finance.
  • Analyze and derive key insights from actual performance vs. forecasts and drive continuous improvement of forecasting capabilities.
  • Carry out scenario planning and develop business cases to support strategic decision-making, such as geographic expansion or product launches.

Business support

  • Develop executive level presentations supporting the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), including Board updates and internal leadership presentations.
  • Coordinate and synthesize inputs for high impact senior leadership meetings incl. agendas and action tracking, ensuring accountability and follow-up.
  • Manage the procurement and organization of commercial data sources, (e.g., IQVIA), ensuring access to the appropriate tools and systems.
  • Support Head of Commercial Operations and Excellence on tasks in the broader function including product launch, affiliate expansion and commercial excellence.
  • Develop and maintain key business templates and processes.

Highly skilled Commercial Finance professional

We expect you to hold a relevant MSc. in Business, Finance, Accounting, or another relevant field. You have several years of experience in a relevant finance, commercial, or business controlling role, which has provided you with a solid foundation of competences to build upon. You have proven experience with financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Furthermore, you combine strong business acumen, data-driven insight, and operational excellence to optimize commercial performance and execution. Finally, you are an expert with Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Personally, you are structured, detail-oriented, proactive, responsible, and ambitious with an empathic and respectful mindset. You have demonstrated great analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with organizational and time management skills. Furthermore, you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your robust ethical foundation fosters a profound dedication to integrity and an unwavering commitment to quality in all your work, empowering you to effectively navigate through ambiguity and change. Finally, you have excellent proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
