Job brief

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our partner engineering team and to support the development and integration of computer vision systems within advanced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). 
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. 
  • Collaborate with Computer Vision Engineers, Automation Engineers, and Manufacturing teams to integrate vision solutions into production lines.
  • Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Perform simulations and analysis (stress, thermal, fluid dynamics) to validate designs. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, and product teams) to ensure design feasibility. 
  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new products. 
  • Identify opportunities for design improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. 
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical design. 
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar). 
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. 
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
