Job brief
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our partner engineering team and to support the development and integration of computer vision systems within advanced manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Computer Vision Engineers, Automation Engineers, and Manufacturing teams to integrate vision solutions into production lines.
- Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Perform simulations and analysis (stress, thermal, fluid dynamics) to validate designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, and product teams) to ensure design feasibility.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new products.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
