#1022 - Senior Data Engineer (Databricks and BI)

We're looking for a Databricks professional to lead the migration of our existing Tableau dashboards to Databricks AI/BI Dashboards. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, Databricks consultants, and technical teams to make sure reporting continues to run smoothly through the transition and takes full advantage of the Databricks platform.

This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking the right questions, and turning loosely defined needs into clear, working solutions.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing Tableau dashboards to Databricks AI/BI Dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and functional parity.
• Analyze current Tableau dashboards to understand business logic, data sources, and user needs.
• Build and optimize datasets, queries, and data models in Databricks to support the new dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate results.
• Work alongside Databricks consultants and technical teams to align on best practices and resolve technical challenges.
• Document migration processes, decisions, and dashboard logic.

Requirements

• English Level B2/C1 to ensure communication with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks
• Solid experience with Apache Spark
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau preferred, but experience with other BI platforms is welcome, as long as you're ready to ramp up on Tableau quickly)
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguous or evolving requirements
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and technical teams
• Good communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks AI/BI Dashboards or Databricks SQL.
• Previous experience in BI migration projects.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data modeling.
• Experience working with consultants or cross-functional teams.
