Job Description:
Our client helps merchants, remote workers, gig workers, and businesses create USD, EUR, and GBP foreign accounts to easily send, receive, save, and spend foreign currency.
They are looking to hire a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be pivotal in developing and maintaining our core systems, ensuring they're scalable, reliable, and secure. Youll get to collaborate with cross-functional teams as you'll be instrumental in designing and implementing backend solutions that are essential to our success.
Your day-to-day
- Develop, maintain, and scale backend systems.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Write high-quality code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Enhance system performance and reliability through efficient architecture and code optimization.
- Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Identify and address technical debt, code vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of backend development experience, with a focus on fintech or financial services is a plus.
- Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages primarily Go.
- Strong grasp of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with Microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS is a plus).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
