About the Project
Were in stealth mode and hiring 100% remote talent to build a modern digital banking infrastructure from the ground up. This greenfield platform will serve three core customer segments:
- Retail users Personal banking (savings, cards, spend management)
- Businesses SME banking (invoicing, POS, working capital, multi-user accounts)
- B2B partners APIs and services for embedded-finance use cases
Were doing a clean, modern rebuild using industry best practices across infrastructure, codebase, deployment, and user experience. The goal is a unified platform that seamlessly supports Personal, Business, and Embedded Finance clients.
Job Overview:
Were looking for a Senior Technical Contributor to lead platform-level initiatives for our digital banking infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with engineering leads to design, sequence, and coordinate system delivery, managing interdependencies across infrastructure, backend, frontend, and mobile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead platform-level technical initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across infrastructure, backend, frontend, and mobile.
- Develop system architecture documentation, including data flows and dependencies.
- Collaborate with engineering leads to sequence delivery and manage interdependencies.
- Conduct technical reviews to ensure alignment with standards and requirements.
- Identify and resolve risks or bottlenecks in the delivery pipeline.
- Support engineering teams in implementing solutions, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.
- Ensure code is robust, scalable, and aligned with best practices and architectural guidelines.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in backend or infrastructure engineering, focusing on large-scale systems.
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-team technical initiatives.
- Expertise in designing scalable architectures and managing system interdependencies.
- Strong background in backend or infrastructure engineering with deep familiarity with technical trade-offs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication for cross-functional coordination and explaining complex technical concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Helm).
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced remote environment with clear communication.
Preferred/Desirable:
- Experience working within regulated or fintech environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging tools
- A strategic, systems-thinking approach to technical decision-making
- Strong commitment to clean, scalable, and maintainable solutions
