Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathes to produce precision parts for various projects. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate lathes to perform precision machining operations

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications

- Select and install appropriate cutting tools and adjust machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and finishes

- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency

- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications and make any necessary adjustments

- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment

- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating lathes in a manufacturing or industrial setting

- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints

- Strong knowledge of machining processes and equipment

- Ability to use precision measuring tools and perform accurate measurements

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high levels of precision

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Must be willing to travel to various job sites as needed

- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
