Stock Controller

, Permanent Position: Stock Controller Venture Resources is a leading retail company based in Philadelphia, South Africa. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels in our warehouse and retail stores. You will work closely with our purchasing and sales teams to ensure that our stock levels are sufficient to meet customer demand and minimize waste. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in the warehouse and retail stores - Track stock movements and identify any discrepancies or issues - Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of stock - Work closely with the sales team to forecast demand and plan stock levels accordingly - Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any variances - Implement and maintain inventory control procedures - Ensure proper storage and handling of stock to prevent damage or loss - Generate reports on stock levels, movements, and trends - Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and take appropriate action - Collaborate with other teams to optimize stock management processes - Train and supervise stockroom staff, ensuring compliance with procedures and safety guidelines Requirements: - Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel - Knowledge of stock control procedures and best practices - Ability to analyze data and generate reports - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management is a plus At Venture Resources, we value teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
