The Role
- Perform bookkeeping and end-to-end payroll processing.
- Ensure ATO compliance including IAS, BAS, GST, and FBT lodgments.
- Prepare financial statements using Xero or Access Ledger.
- Complete year-end workpapers, review financials, and finalize accounts.
- Prepare tax returns for companies, trusts, SMSFs, and individuals.
- Manage weekly ASIC matters and respond to ATO communications.
- Prepare documentation for company incorporations and solvency minutes.
- Set up and maintain Xero accounts including payroll and ledgers.
- Assist with ATO audit queries, including Div7A calculations and STP finalization.
- Review team work, update templates, and manage document signing via PleaseSign.
- Maintain timesheets and job allocations in XPM and respond to client queries.
The Person
- An accounting qualification /or relevant degree.
- Good communication skills/good English speaking & written skills
- Attention to detail.
- Highly self-motivated with good engagement, Attention to detail.
- Being a team player.
- Experience in working with Australian companies & Australian Tax.
- Experience in working in Xero.
