Assistant Accountant - US

Job profile

• Preparation and submission of AR Aging, Inventory Aging, and monthly A/R reports to the bank and Founder
• Weekly follow-up on vendor payments and shipment reports with the commercial team
• Reconciliation of daily deposits, credit cards, ABL loan accounts, and operating accounts
• Applicants with hands-on manufacturing experience will be given preference
• Preparation of inventory aging, inventory trend analysis, and inventory profitability reports
• Preparation of monthly overall sales and Sales Representative–wise reports
• Asset accounting, monthly depreciation postings, and prepaid account amortization
• Price variance analysis and resolution of inventory-related queries from account managers
• Preparation of Fairtrade reports, audit support (bank and external audits), and year-end reconciliations including journal entries

Personal Profile

• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, as you will work closely with operational teams

• Pursuing CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA or a member of AAT

• A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

• Age between 25-35 with 1-2 years of related experience

• Understanding of Accounting Standards

• Experience working with reputed ERP systems (Oracle preferred)

• Good working knowledge of Excel

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
