Mahomet Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated and friendly team. We are a community-focused practice that prides itself on providing high-quality medical care and building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.

About the Role: As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the highest level of patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with exams, treatments, and procedures
• Administering medications, vaccinations, and anesthesia undera  doctor's supervision
• Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
• Performing laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
• Providing surgical preparation, monitoring, and recovery care
• Performing dental prophylaxis and radiographs
• Educating clients on pet health, nutrition, and post-operative care
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8 am 6 pm, with one set weekday off each week
• Rotating Saturdays

Qualifications:

• Licensed or certified Veterinary Technician preferred (or actively pursuing credentials)
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Passion for animal care and patient advocacy
