Pathways We Offer

DoD SkillBridge
For active-duty service members within their final 180 days of service. SkillBridge lets you train and work with a civilian employer during your last months in uniform while you continue to receive military pay and benefits. Participation requires command approval. VWS helps you find a SkillBridge opportunity that fits your goals, prepares you for the interview, and supports you through the internship with the aim of a full-time job offer at completion.

Direct Hire
For veterans, separating service members, National Guard, and Reserve members ready to go straight into full-time civilian employment. VWS matches you with open positions based on your experience, location preferences, and career goals, and stays with you through the hiring process.

Career Fields We Recruit For

• Heavy equipment and diesel technicians, field service technicians
• Equipment rental operations, parts, and service
• Logistics, supply chain, warehouse, and inventory management
• Defense manufacturing and production
• Operations supervision and management
• Sales and customer support
• IT, cybersecurity, and cleared positions

Who We're Looking For

• Transitioning service members from any branch (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard)
• Veterans at any stage of their civilian career
• National Guard and Reserve members
• Military spouses (select opportunities)
• Backgrounds in maintenance, logistics, supply, mechanics, operations, leadership, communications, and IT are especially in demand
• Active security clearances are a plus for select roles but not required for most positions
