The Vet Office is proud to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, progressive small animal hospital in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.

This is an excellent role for a confident GP vet who enjoys a mix of medicine and surgery, and is looking to work within a well-equipped, supportive, and forward-thinking environment. You'll be joining a collaborative team committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care.

About the Clinic

This purpose-built, state-of-the-art hospital offers 24-hour care and referral services, making it an outstanding environment for professional development.

Facilities include:

• Advanced imaging including CT
• In-house laboratory
• Digital and dental x-ray
• Ultrasonography
• Two fully equipped surgical theatres
• Four consultation rooms
• Separate dog and cat wards

The hospital is centrally located in Ashbourne, with free all-day parking, and operates a dedicated out-of-hours emergency service supporting both internal and external cases.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality veterinary care while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide excellent medical and surgical care
• Manage a varied caseload with confidence
• Deliver outstanding client communication and service
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the hospital
• Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' experience in small animal practice
• Confident in both medicine and routine surgery
• Strong clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• A proactive, motivated, and team-oriented mindset
• Commitment to continuous professional development
