Salary: Up to 40,000 FTE, commensurate with experience

Position Overview
A Veterinary Clinic is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave, commencing in September 2025. This role presents an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations and surgical procedures

  • Monitor anaesthesia and provide post-operative care

  • Carry out diagnostic tests and laboratory work

  • Deliver nursing care and support to hospitalised patients

  • Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and general wellbeing

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Run nurse clinics including suture removal, wound management, and weight clinics

Candidate Profile

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (VCI registered)

  • All levels of experience considered (some experience required)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently

  • A genuine passion for patient care and client education
