Job description:
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting the HR function within a manufacturing environment by leading recruitment and talent acquisition while contributing to employee experience, culture, compliance, and workforce development initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring that the facility attracts, hires, and retains highly skilled talent, particularly in regulated manufacturing operations.
The Specialist works closely with HR in shaping the and strengthening the new-hire experience and champions engagement and overall core People, Talent & Culture programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
· Manage full cycle recruitment for manufacturing operations, including job postings, resume review, initial screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
· Partner with HR and hiring managers to understand and update job descriptions, skill requirements, shift structures, and staffing priorities for all roles.
· Conduct competency‑based screenings by evaluating candidates for GMP/FDA awareness, reviewing their qualifications against job requirements, and identifying those who meet the technical and regulatory needs of the role before moving them forward in the recruitment process.
· Facilitate pre-employment processes such as reference checks, background checks, and offer letter preparation.
· Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and companys career page ensuring a smooth and organized hiring process, while supporting employer branding initiatives.
· Conduct proactive sourcing through job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals (through the internal job process), and industry platforms.
· Support the development, coordination, and administration of internship, co‑op, and apprenticeship programs.
· Provide support for compensation and market benchmarking by collecting salary data, organizing internal pay information, and assisting HR with the administrative tasks needed to review and maintain competitive, fair, and market‑aligned pay ranges.
· Support & collaborate with HR in maintaining recruiting analytics and reporting dashboards by updating key metrics (such as time‑to‑fill, skill alignment, source effectiveness, and candidate experience feedback) and assisting in preparing insights and summaries for the leadership team.
Performance & Talent Development Support
· Contribute to the administration and continuous improvement of Performance Management, Learning & Development programs and HRIS integrations to enhance employee and talent experience.
· Assist HR and managers in building competency‑aligned development plans that support employee growth, regulatory capability requirements, and career progression.
· Contribute to succession planning efforts by maintaining talent profiles, documenting key role competencies, and tracking emerging talent pools.
People & Culture Support
· Support onboarding and orientation by helping create a welcoming, inclusive experience for new hires, ensuring they feel connected to our culture while receiving essential GMP, safety, gowning, and role‑specific training.
· Champion employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture‑building activities across the company.
· Support the administration of benefits, wellness programs, and employee communications.
· Participate in HR continuous improvement projects, SOP updates, DEI initiatives and system enhancements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
· 2-4 years of HR, talent acquisition, or recruitment experience, ideally regulated manufacturing environments.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels internally and externally.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
· Understanding of GMP/FDA environments, technical skill requirements, and pharma regulatory culture.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR and quality-related information.
· Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous hiring priorities.
