Job Description:
Assistant Planner
Job Summary:
Perform as a member of a water resources team under the direction of a Principal Engineer or Senior Planner.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, planners, and project managers to understand clients water resource needs.

Design planning approaches to address client needs and implement planning protocols to support decision-making.

Coordinate work completed by other team members for studies, documents, and reports.

Advise clients and their consultant teams on technical, economic, environmental, and financial developments affecting water resource planning projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate in a team environment.

Graduation from an accredited college or university in a STEM field.

25 years of experience preparing studies or technical analyses on water resource-related projects.

Minimum 3 years experience in water resources engineering consulting, with a successful track record in planning studies.

Familiarity with federal risk-informed water resources planning or similar methodologies.

Valid California drivers license.

GIS experience with working knowledge.

Participation in an industry-related professional organization.
