Project Engineer Water Resources

Job Summary:
Lead design teams on water resources projects, performing technical analyses, engineering designs, and coordinating with clients and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design teams on water resources projects.

  • Conduct field reviews to develop designs for new or rehabilitated facilities.

  • Prepare and oversee technical analyses and engineering designs.

  • Coordinate with project owners, resource and permitting agencies, and outside consultants.

  • Perform AutoCAD drafting and GIS exhibit development.

  • Support construction coordination, inspection, management, and document review.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering; Masters degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years preparing engineering analyses and designs for water resource-related projects.

  • Professional Civil Engineering (PE) license in California.

  • Experience overseeing a team of engineers and supporting staff.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Client management and communications experience.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.

  • Valid California drivers license.

  • Formal project management training or certification preferred.

  • Understanding of California Central Valley environmental agencies and other State and Federal regulatory agencies.

  • Participation in an industry-related professional organization.
