Job Summary
Facilities Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of facilities and building systems. This hands-on role supports facility operations by maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring continuity of business operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of facilities maintenance or related experience.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, scheduling, and work prioritization skills.
- Experience troubleshooting facility and building systems.
- Ability to diagnose issues, take meter readings, and follow equipment specifications and maintenance guides.

Experience with carpentry and installation work, including:
- Doors and hardware
- Stairs
- Hardwood flooring
- Drywall and sheetrock
- Finish and rough carpentry
- Handrails
- Ceiling systems and trim
- Cabinets and countertops
- Wall panel systems

Electrical maintenance skills, including:
- Installing and replacing lights
- Electrical outlets
- Minor electrical repairs
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with UPS systems, emergency generators, and fire/life safety systems.
- HVAC/CRAC unit maintenance and monitoring knowledge.
- Plumbing repair skills, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
- General building maintenance experience.
- Painting and touch-up repair skills.

Ability to use computers and handheld devices for:
- Email communication
- Scheduling
- Maintenance management systems
- Work orders and preventive maintenance tracking
Preferred Qualifications
- Building inspection experience.
- Experience overseeing subcontracted maintenance services.
- Strong knowledge of commercial facility operations and maintenance.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Professional demeanor and willingness to learn new systems and procedures.
