Job Description:
Senior Planner
Job Summary:
Perform environmental planning and fieldwork, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct literature research and record searches.

Complete biological field surveys and prepare associated reports.

Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with environmental design specifications and permit conditions.

Assist in the development or writing of technical reports and environmental documents in compliance with NEPA, including biological resources, aquatic resources, and site stabilization/revegetation planning.

Collaborate with other disciplines, clients, regulatory authorities, and subconsultants through in-person and virtual meetings.

Prepare regulatory permit applications and assist in securing environmental permits.

Support general environmental planning tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor of Science in Biology, Ecology, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant fieldwork.

Working knowledge of federal and state environmental laws (e.g., Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA, NDEP).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and meet critical deadlines.

Capability to manage multiple competing tasks simultaneously.

Strong organization, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Ability to physically perform fieldwork in various conditions, including extreme temperatures and remote locations.

Valid drivers license and good driving record.

Experience with GPS/GIS applications.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
