Job Summary

We are seeking a Finance Technology Leader to drive the digital transformation of a global finance organization. This role is responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive finance technology strategy that enhances operational efficiency, accelerates insights, and improves user experience across finance teams. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in finance systems, strong strategic leadership, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale transformation initiatives in complex enterprise environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a digital finance transformation strategy focused on automation, process optimization, and advanced reporting

  • Design and maintain a scalable, integrated finance technology ecosystem supporting global operations

  • Lead and optimize a portfolio of finance applications across general ledger, reporting, receivables, credit control, and accounting systems

  • Build business cases for technology initiatives and present to executive leadership

  • Manage budgets and financial governance for finance technology programs

  • Lead vendor selection, RFP processes, and contract negotiations

  • Translate complex technical initiatives into clear executive-level updates and insights

  • Drive application lifecycle management, portfolio rationalization, and risk reduction

  • Lead cross-functional global teams and external partners to deliver transformation outcomes

  • Implement change management strategies to ensure adoption and value realization

  • Identify and remediate technical debt and system vulnerabilities

  • Monitor KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and measurable impact

  • Maintain security, reliability, and performance of existing finance platforms

  • Align technology initiatives with long-term business goals and regulatory requirements

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in finance technology or enterprise transformation

  • Proven success delivering large-scale finance systems and digital transformation initiatives

  • Deep understanding of finance processes including general ledger, accounting, reporting, receivables, and reconciliation

  • Strong strategic planning, portfolio management, and execution capabilities

  • Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics for performance and decision-making

  • Executive communication and stakeholder influence skills

  • Experience working in global, regulated environments with complex compliance requirements

  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience

  • Technical knowledge of enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and system integrations

  • Experience with multi-currency finance operations and regulatory reporting

  • Understanding of data governance, security, and audit frameworks

  • Change management expertise driving adoption of new technologies

  • Industry experience in financial services or insurance preferred
