Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, installation, and customer training for complex analytical instruments. The role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction while supporting equipment performance and reliability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of analytical instruments.
- Install and configure equipment at customer locations.
- Provide customer training on instrument operation and maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues using electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools.
- Manage service-related inventory and replacement parts.
- Coordinate travel schedules and service assignments efficiently.
- Complete administrative and service documentation accurately.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional technical support.
- Travel frequently to customer sites to perform field service activities.
Requirements
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
- Ability to work independently and manage service assignments.
- Knowledge of electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools.
- Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
- Strong customer service, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
