Hematology/Oncology - Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA)

Job Summary

This role provides compassionate, patient-centered care as a Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Provider within a hematology/oncology setting. Under physician guidance, this position delivers direct clinical support, manages a variety of hematology cases, and assists with infusion protocols. The provider plays a key role in coordinating individualized treatment plansincluding chemotherapy and immunotherapyto support improved patient outcomes and quality of life.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic test orders.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

  • Collaborate with oncologists to develop and implement treatment plans.

  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and expectations.

  • Manage straightforward hematology cases and support infusion protocols.

  • Diagnose, test, and treat patients within the providers scope of practice.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

  • Current, unrestricted NP or PA license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.

  • Ability to pass all applicable pre-employment screenings, including federally compliant drug testing.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in Hematology/Oncology.
