Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and operate Network Security solutions.

Provide deep cybersecurity expertise with a focus on posture management, threat detection and remediation, and continuous monitoring.

Improve the security posture of network infrastructure and align designs with strategic objectives and industry best practices.

Develop Network Security capabilities and evaluate new technologies to enhance network protection.

Apply systems thinking to identify systemic issues and implement comprehensive security solutions.

Document security procedures and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and continuous improvements.

Mentor junior security engineers and foster a collaborative learning environment.

Promote a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement in all security initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:

Perform risk and vulnerability assessments and business impact analyses.

Monitor project status, timelines, and budgets for security-related initiatives.

Assist in the implementation of new security domains and services.

Adopt and enforce security controls, processes, and procedures across infrastructure, networks, and applications.

Investigate suspected attacks and manage incident responses using forensic tools when appropriate.

Support internal and external audit processes through documentation and evidence gathering.

Develop and maintain security metrics, dashboards, and reports.

Maintain and execute incident response plans in alignment with policy and regulatory guidelines.

Protect company assets, data, and systems while ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Five or more years of experience in Information Technology, Information Security, or Cybersecurity.

U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelors degree or higher in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Three or more years of experience with a focus on Network Security.

Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as threat modeling and incident response.

Certification or knowledge in SDN Network Security.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS).

Information Security certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CRISC, CISM, GWEB, or similar.

Network Security certifications such as CCNP or OCSE.

Experience in DevOps and Agile methodologies.

Familiarity with development tooling like CI/CD pipelines, Git, and ticketing systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
