The Police Officer performs law enforcement duties to ensure the safety and protection of Aviation Authority property, facilities, personnel, and the general public. This position involves patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, enforcing laws and regulations, investigating incidents, and providing a visible security presence. Officers are expected to maintain order, assist travelers and employees, and collaborate with other law enforcement agencies as necessary to support airport safety and security.
Requirements

Completion of a certified law enforcement academy

Valid law enforcement officer certification (state-specific)

Ability to carry and use firearms and other issued equipment safely and responsibly

Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and in all weather conditions

Prior experience in airport or transportation security is a plus

Background check, drug screening, and physical fitness test required
